Ministry Update #3

Thank you all so much for your support, both monetarily and through prayer. Our transition to Rocklin has had both ups and downs, but we are so happy to be part of this community.

We wanted to give you all a quick recap of what has been going on with Team Kaetzel since our last update. Youth Group (7-12) & Wildfire (5-6) are up and running! We have now had 4 Wednesday night gatherings and they have been going extremely well. We are slowly but surely getting to know the students that God has called us here to serve.

At the beginning of August, we were lucky enough to join several other Youth and Children’s Pastors for a retreat at Mission Springs. Our conference (Pacific Southwest) puts on a retreat for youth and children’s workers every August as a way to gather and equip us for the upcoming school year. 2020 was cancelled due to the pandemic, so we hadn’t met with our colleagues in over 2 years. It was such a blessing to be able to see old friends, connect with new ones and celebrate what God has been doing in our ministries.

Since our last update, we also started helping with the Young Adult group at Community Covenant. This group is a well-established gathering, and we were super excited to be invited into it. We meet every Monday evening, share a meal and study the Word together. The group decided to study Esther as our first series, so we have started diving deeply into what God has for us in this wonderful book.

And now the best news for last…

Team Kaetzel is Expanding!

We are so excited to announce that we are expecting our first baby! Our little Junebug (named because we found out in June) is due March 3rd, 2022. We are super excited, nervous, anxious and happy all at the same time. Please keep us in your prayers as we navigate this new season of life. We are excited to become parents, but we know it will change everything. We hope to update you again in a month or so, but until then, thank you again for all of your support. Our ministry would not be possible if it wasn’t for your generosity, encouragement and prayer.

Prayers/Needs

• Pray for us as we enter into this next season of Chrissy’s pregnancy. Pray that we will find rest, encouragement and time to marvel at God’s amazing love.

• The fall is ramping up, and we are feeling slightly overwhelmed. Please pray that we have the energy and strength we need to do our jobs well.

• We are still about $800 under our monthly fundraising goals, please pray that new supporters will step up and help us reach our goal.

• Pray for our spiritual well-being. We are the types to throw ourselves into our work, but we also need to remain connected to the True Vine. Please pray that we have time and space to be with Jesus.
